Classic 5-Day Uzbekistan Tour

Day 1 : Arrival to Tashkent

Arrival at Tashkent airport. Transfer to your hotel for a check-in. In the evening, you head to a cozy local cafe and enjoy a delicious Uzbek dinner. A perfect start to your adventure.

Day 2 : Tashkent

Drive: 30km

After breakfast, you will begin your tour of Tashkent, visiting the Hazrat Imam Complex, Sheikhantaur Memorial, Jami Mosque, Kukaldash Madrassa, Chorsu Bazaar, Independence Square, Amir Temur Square, and the Amir Temur Museum. You will enjoy lunch at the traditional place - Besh Qozon and then explore the beautiful Tashkent Metro, known for its unique station designs. Afterward, you will take the metro to Tashkent Mall for some free time. The day will end with a delicious dinner at a local restaurant, followed by an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 3 : Tashkent – Samarkand

(high-speed train: 290km) Drive: 30km

After breakfast, you will travel to the railway station for your train to Samarkand. Upon arrival, you will visit key sights, including Gur Emir, Registan Square, and the Bibi Khanym Mosque. After lunch, you will explore the Konigil Meros Paper Mill and enjoy a Pottery Master Class. Then, you will have time to shop at the Siab Bazaar and taste local delicacies. After dinner at a local restaurant, you can attend a light show at Registan Square (21:00) before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Samarkand - Orient Star 3* or Alexander hotel 4*

Day 4 : Samarkand – Shakhrisabz – Bukhara

Drive: 300km

After breakfast, you will visit the Shakhi Zinda Complex, also called the "City of the Dead." Next, you will explore the Ulugbek Observatory, the first of its kind in the East, built in the XVI century with a 30-meter sextant. Then, head to the Khovrenko Winery, home to the Wine Museum, where you will learn about the region's 150-year-old winemaking heritage. After lunch, you will drive to Bukhara, making a stop in Shakhrisabz, the birthplace of Tamerlane. For dinner, you will enjoy a traditional, home-cooked meal with a local family, where you can help prepare and sample authentic dishes. Afterward, you will continue your journey to Bukhara and check in to your hotel for the night.

Bukhara - Zargaron Plaza 3* or Sahid Zarafshon hotel 4*

Day 5 : Bukhara – Tashkent

(high-speed train: 500 km) Drive: 20km

After breakfast, you will begin sightseeing in Bukhara (UNESCO World Heritage), visiting key sites such as the Ark Citadel (XVIII–XX), Lyabi Hauz Complex (XVI–XVII), Poi-Kalyan Complex (XII–XVI), and the Samanid Mausoleum (IX). Explore the trading houses of Bukhara, including Toki-Sarrofon, Telpak Furushon, and Toki-Zargaron Tim Abdullakhan. After lunch, you will visit the Suzanne Embroidery Workshop of Matluba Khatamova, where you will participate in a silk master class. In the afternoon, you will head to the railway station for your journey back to Tashkent. After arrival, you will have dinner at a local restaurant and check into your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 6 : Tashkent

Drive: 20km

Depending on your flight, the driver will transfer you to the International Airport for your departure.

Food

Enjoy the flavors of Kyrgyzstan with buffet-style breakfasts at most accommodations, and freshly made eggs, pancakes, fruits, and Kyrgyz bread in yurts or guesthouses. Lunch and dinner feature hearty Central Asian dishes, mainly with beef and lamb.

Kuurdak

Kuurdak is a traditional Kyrgyz dish of fried lamb or beef with onions, potatoes, and spices. Golden brown and hearty, it’s a comforting favorite served hot with bread.

Samsy

Samsa is a flaky pastry filled with seasoned lamb or beef, onions, and sometimes vegetables. Baked or tandoor-cooked, it’s a savory snack with a satisfying crunch.

Plov

Plov is a classic Kyrgyz dish of aromatic rice cooked with carrots, onions, and meat, seasoned with garlic and spices. Rich and flavorful, it’s a beloved one-pot meal for any occasion.

Besh barmak

Besh-barmak, meaning "five fingers," is a traditional Kyrgyz dish of boiled meat (usually horse or lamb) with noodles and broth, topped with onions. A cultural staple, it’s served at celebrations and gatherings.

Kebab

Shashlyk is a Kyrgyz favorite of marinated lamb, beef, or chicken skewers grilled over an open flame. Tender and flavorful, it’s served with bread and salads.

Dymdama

Dymdama is a layered dish of potatoes, carrots, onions, and lamb or beef, slow-cooked with spices for a hearty, flavorful meal. It’s a favorite at celebrations and family gatherings.

Manty

Manty are steamed Kyrgyz dumplings filled with minced lamb or beef and onions. Soft and juicy, they’re served with yogurt or sour cream as a hearty meal or snack.

Ganfan

A spicy meat and vegetable sauce served with rice.
